Some seasons move at their own pace. This one asked for more time than most, longer harvest windows, longer drying, more waiting between each stage. For producers who tend these lands season after season, that meant slowing down and giving each lot the time it needed, rather than the time the calendar usually allows.

When a season stretches, everything downstream stretches with it. Harvest windows this year tends to be longer. Drying ran longer than usual. Every stage, from picking to processing, took more time than it typically would, and that time became part of the coffee itself.

Time spent well is not just about waiting, it's what shows up in the cup. 26/27 Collection Season 1 brings together coffees shaped by a season that simply took longer at every step. With more time between each stage, our producers could look closer at every cherry, every batch, every lot, a little more carefully than the usual pace allows.

In Sumatra, producers worked lot by lot through a season that gave them more time between each stage. Harvest and drying stretched on longer than usual, and that extra time meant closer attention to each batch, nothing rushed through to make up for lost pace.

In Java, smaller harvests were no reason to cut corners. Producers gave each lot the same care regardless of size, using the season's slower rhythm to look more closely at what usually moves too fast to notice. In Flores, the season's extra time went into getting each lot right, measured, cupped, and refined a little more carefully than the usual pace allows.

26/27 Collection Season 1 is what happens when time is spent well. These coffees carry the marks of a season that moved slower than expected, shaped by hands that gave each lot exactly as long as it needed. Time, well spent, from crop to cup, is what this collection represents.
