HENDRA MAULIZAR
Hendra Maulizar has been the pioneer of Indonesian specialty coffee processing. His dad, Hamdan, moved to Aceh in 2006 and started growing coffee. This sparked the idea of Hendra to start growing coffee in 2010. The land started from 1 hectare and now reaches up to 10 hectares with 40 tonnes of coffee produced in the washing station. Hendra and his family started to grow their farm and began to invest in post-harvesting facilities and managed to build a wet mill, gravitational washing channels, and raised beds to dry the coffee.

KERINCI RUKUN SAUDARA
Abdul Aziz Thohari, the head of Rukun Saudara's Cooperative, kicked off his journey in 2015 when coffee cultivation became his passion. During those early days, the coffee was sold as wet parchment and shipped off to Medan. The turning point arrived in 2017 when the farmers' collective, Rukun Saudara, was established. They transitioned to the processing of coffee into Green coffee beans, setting up an initial drying facility measuring 10 meters by 5 meters. Fast forward to today, and their drying facility has grown substantially, now spanning approximately 800 square meters.

GRAVFARM SUKARATU
Gravfarm Sukaratu is a farm managed by one of our partners, Yugian and Lucy. They are active members of the forest farmer groups and give training to farmers through regular counseling on forestry, agriculture, waste management, coffee seeding, cultivation, and processing. The husband and wife, Lucy Tedjasukmana and Yugian Leonardy, are synonymous with us at Kopi Fabriek. All in all, both are superb coffee educators on all things agriculture, post-harvest processing, sustainable coffee farming, and waste management.
